The qualifications we offer are effectively passports to a global learning community because they are embedded in coherent curriculum values. The system incorporates many optional routes allowing individuals to emphasise their strengths, once the key milestones have been passed.

The Advanced Level qualifications (A Levels) in particular, allow for specialization in depth by achieving a balance between knowledge and skill, and by emphasising critical thinking, independent learning and global awareness.

It is a matter of great satisfaction and credit that our students have been admitted to such reputed colleges and universities as Presidency College, Jadavpur University, Loreto House and St. Xaviers College at Calcutta, Symbiosis Institute and Fergusson College elsewhere in India, the London School of Economics and the Universities of Manchester, Wales and Nottingham in the UK, the Universities of Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Rutgers and Chicago, and Wooster and Claremont Colleges in the US, as well as colleges and universities in Australia, China and Singapore.

TCS consistently achieves some of the best results among international schools in India.  Students have received many accolades and honours, including the first Manmohan Singh Scholarship. A number of our students at A Levels have received the  Cambridge Brilliance Awards ever since the inception of the awards by securing the highest marks in India in subjects spread across the three streams of Science, Business Studies & Humanities.  

This is a very significant achievement, given that Cambridge has more than 210 affiliated schools in India now including such long-established and prestigious ones as Dhirubhai Ambani World School, Ecole Mondiale, International School Bangalore, Hebron School Ooty, and Mallya Aditi International School.  It is certainly the only international school from the city to produce such results.

But TCS is more than just good results, and we are not exclusively interested in the best and the brightest of the students.  Above all, we take pride in being a child-centric school, and catering to the different levels and attainments of a cross-section of children.  Our specific aim is to nurture students so that they can become:

With an eye on the future lives of our students and the work-environments of tomorrow, we lay particular emphasis on the intelligent and exhaustive use of IT in education.  Apart from being a separate academic course, IT is widely deployed across the board and integrated in the teaching of many subjects.  Computing is also offered as an academic subject at both O and A Levels.  TCS students have the distinction of being one of the first communities to have their school magazine online.

Although a large majority of our students are Indian, our student-body is multicultural with pupils from the USA, UK, UAE, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Burma and Bangladesh.  The milieu therefore is befitting for our increasingly globalised world.
